iPad 2 graphics capability

The Wii is basically an overclocked GameCube with more RAM so the hardware is really old even by console standards.

Also,I wonder if the graphics is being upscaled (even though it is claimed this is not the case) as ALL Xbox 360 and PS3 games are upscaled.

With AMD and Intel integrated more and more powerful IGPs into their laptops it will be interesting to how well the base level gaming ability of cheaper PCs will improve in the next year.

Its quite impressive, it could well be unscaled and the physics are crap, but any advancement in gaming is good. Still can't justify a tablet yet though.

Most likely upscaled from something much lower than 1080p and from that video it looks no better than some Wii games, which has ancient tech in it anyway.
Its full HD 1920 by 1080 resolution with FSAA and zero upscaling at 30fps and its running two displays with different content on each. Since when do Wii games run at HD resolutions with FSAA? The few Wii games I have seen look know where near that good and if I am not mistaken do not have FSAA. But then again I am not a Wii fan so don't know the best games. What looks that good on the Wii without jagged lines all over?

Another factor to take into account is the first few HD games are made in two weeks and are just minor upgrades from the Ipad1 games. Pretty much the same game with better lighting and FSAA added. We have yet to see the new generation of games that fully make use of the new power.

We should see games much more graphically advance then Real Racing 2 HD.

No real time ray tracing, I dont expact to see that till the Ipad 4 with perhaps a 20% chance in the Ipad3

I'd like to see a source for your 1080p + FSAA claim.

The link is in the OP post and the video as well. Plus a fair few other websites all mention it. Not only do the people testing say its full res but so do the developers. 3 quotes that stand out.

" Real Racing 2 HD, on the other hand, will run full screen with no black borders and at native 1080p resolution without scaling."

" With full support for high-definition, 1080p output – a first for any iOS game – in the next major update, Real Racing 2 HD will be the perfect title to see the full potential of Apple’s latest hardware. Relish crisp, gorgeous graphics at full screen 1080p"

" the next update to Firemint’s excellent Real Racing 2 HD will enable full 1080p video output in 30 frames per second – without upscaling, as demoed in the below video:"

Perhaps for PowerVR series 6 or 7 :)

And nowhere does it say FSAA.

Go, eat some apples.

I see you're a statistician too. Is your expectation based on rolling a 10d dice or some other magical figures?

Do you even know what ray-tracing is?

EDIT: just checked your other posts. I see you have deep trust in Apple's hardware capabilities even though they always lag behind.
