iPad 2 screen display... colours

Hi All,

This might sound odd... but does anyone elses iPad 2 show drastically different colours sometimes?

We've just found an image that on the MBP shows as purple, and on the iPad 2 it shows as blue... Turning up the brightness to see if it was just being 'dull' didn't make any difference.

Is there a colours setting somewhere that I can tweak?

There are no screen colour settings on iPad (Without a jailbreak at least)...

I would personally take it to the Apple store if I wasn't happy with the screen.

The MBP display is a TN panel, while the iPad display is IPS. Not saying that the IPS will definitely be better, because it is possible to have a poorly calibrated IPS of course, but don't necessarily expect the colour reproduction of the two to be the same (unless the difference is quite literally massive).

We only noticed it when an image showed as blue on the iPad, and purple on the MBP... The image was from a thread on a forum my wife posts on, describing the purple t-shirt.....

doesnt sound like much can be done!
