Sup guys..(and girls)

Is it worth buying the ipad2 at the moment? i dont want to buy one then a couple months later the ipad 3 comes out? should i wait?

Ask questions like this and you will always be told (something like) 'something better is always just around the corner' and I would tend to agree. Technology is essentially obsolete almost as soon as you buy it (slight exaggeration but you get what I mean). If you see something you want, that will do what you want, buy it and don't look back.

However with a company like Apple that don't release new products every other month and stick to a fairly strict release cycle sometimes it does pay to wait a month or two for their latest and greatest to come out.

This is true. Pretty sure iPad 3 may come with Siri as well - although unsure as to the actual date.

I certainly think that depending on usage, the iPad 2 in many situations is above and beyond other tablets - before someone shouts Apple Fanboy, I've got a windows pc, an android phone and an Apple tablet...

Don't think the iPad3 will be released until they can get a much higher resolution panel on it. Given that that probably means pixel-doubling, and thus 2048x1536, I doubt it'll be until they can do such a panel at a reasonable price.

Apart from sourcing enough high screens to meet the insane demand the other challenge is maintaining the slim form factor and the excellent battery life.
It's going to be interesting to see how Apple pull it off.

As for the question - if you have a need/use for it now then buy it because waiting for the next model will mean you'll never buy one.
