Anyone noticed this ?

Open safari and have iPad in portrait mode. Load up ocuk forums and scroll up and down. To me it looks like the gpu cannot keep up... The right hand side of screen lags updating causing everything to 'bend and wobble' on the horizontal plane

Ive checked other iPad 3s and they all do it.... The non retina iPad 2 does not.

Once you notice this one flaw using the ipad in portrait annoys you so much you cannot use it in this orientation

I've googled this flaw and a few people have noticed it but most dismiss it

Apple failed, which is a shame as the device is good IMHO

Had a look on mine and I cant replicate it?

Edit, actually I see what you mean now. You have to do it quite slow to see it. I dont usually view in portrait mode so have never seen it before.

Having said that, I quite like it :)

This is true, but I have found ALL the ipad models do it, and so do other tablets actually, and even smaller devices like iphones, but it is harder to detect, I think it is how the gpu renders the image on screen, it really put me off ipads for ages although I am somewhat used to it now. It's a bummer if you are susceptible to these sorts of things!

I think the easiest way to see it is get a full screen page then wiggle it from side to side, you'll find one side plays catch up to the other making the page look like it slanting.

Still not seeing it and I've tried really heavy pages. At slower speeds it could be an optical illusion rather than the iPad itself.

Hmmmm, do people who see it have glasses ?, maybe there is a common factor

I'm sure it's no illusion, even if I scroll just one line of text up and down very slow I can see the lag

All iOS devices have this. It's not lag, on the iPhones i've had the opposite side to where your finger is ahead.

Just something you have to live with. It's only apparent if you're scrolling back and forth fast.

There must be a perception issue going on here because I've probably handled more iOS devices than most people and I've never noticed this, except something vaguely similar on the first gen devices.

I dont wear glasses. I didnt see it till I really looked. To see it, I have to scroll up and down slowly in portrait mode and there must be lots of vertical lines, ie these forums.

In everyday use tho, I wont see it because I browse in landscape.
