Just brought a wicked theme for dreamboard called WinPad 8 Experience and thought i'd show it off.

Looks very well made!

Isn't my sort of taste, but you can tell the developer has worked hard on reproducing it as a theme :)

Very nice. I do appreciate the effort some people put into skinning etc...a la Rainmeter.

Again though, not my personal cup of tea but very well done none-the-less.

Not meaning to be harsh on the OP, as any W8 fan will appreciate the effort. Can't personally see the reason why (the iOS icons are the right size!), but it looks good!

Metro looks great on the iPad, can't wait for some WinRT tablets to appear that look as nice as the iPad.

The desktop however just looks weird. It's almost like an old Longhorn throwback and pretty much goes against everything Metro stands for.

This, why buy something to use something else. To get a real Win RT feel buy a Windows Surface Tablet when they come out.

For a few reasons, 1 i've always liked the ipad and i can switch back to the apple theme in a touch of a button. 2 who's to say the surface is not going to be another failed ipad beater. I love the win 8 look and will have win 8 when its released. Nothing wrong with sampling a taste of other systems, how many people put apple type docks and android clocks on desktops. Loads.

I'm guessing Dreamboard is a jailbroken app? I did jailbreak my iPhone once, a long time ago and it didn't stay jailbroken for very long but I'd never buy an app that only works on a jailbroken device.

Impressive! Someone has put a lot of work into that, love that they've even managed the double-width icons and made them look like the iOS icon was actually designed for Metro (just noticed I quoted the wrong screenshot to show that though!)

Looks good, can't wait for Surface.

As said, it looks nice and obviously time has been put in to it, but I don't get the point.

IMO you buy an Apple device because of how they design it to work around iOS, if you want to mess around get Android.

I've used windows 8 on a touch screen laptop over 4 weeks at Christmas and didn't like it one bit.

Sorry to sound like a mac fanboy; but this really makes me of the people who buy a mac only to install windows on it and use windows all the time; guess its their money and all.

I don't quite get the obsession with the "metro" ui and its tiles. When I use a tablet or phone, I am using it for a reason. I don't sit there thinking "hmm, what shall I look at, lets see what decides to appear on my live tiles". If I want to check twitter, I'll go into the twitter app and check them. All it seems to achieve is to waste loads of screen real estate and look busy.
