I am thinking getting the above are they still big enough for storage as I've always had a 16gb never had storage issue on past versions. But someone said I will on new....

Nah you'll be fine, same here tbh as I mainly use for web surfing and email etc

16GB will be fine if all you do is use small applications.

I use email and web. A few apps such as Facebook bbc but don't have music or videos

if you don't store videos/pics on the actual device and don't need multiple large games/apps installed at once, 16GB is ok.
