iPad Air screen oow repair recommendations?

My eldest is a fit a frustration slammed her hand down into the screen of our iPad. It's out of warranty and would like to know if anyone can recommend me a repairer other than Apple. I'm sure there must be a cheaper alternative than the £196 they are asking!

afaik, apple don't repair as such... but give a refurb unit. presume that includes a good battery, new case etc.

I would not use 3rd party repairers because I have known folk with poor outcomes e.g. unresponsive screens.

If you don't get it done at Apple then it will not be an official Apple screen.

What about home insurance?
