Hi all

Since my update to os 5, Safari shuts down when surfing for no reason on various sites, today its done it about 8 times.

Anyone else had this and am I better doing a full restore?

Yea happens to me too. Safari just force closes all the time, using atomic web browser which doesn't seem to crash till apple fixes it. There are lots of posts about it on various forums so hopefully apple knows about it and fixes it in a future path.

Well turned lappy on and itunes come up saying i need to update my Ipad, so clicked ok and it has messed up my Ipad. It wouldn't turn on.

Just having to reset and restore everything.

Best have everything i have paid for and everything best still be saved where i last left them.

O the ****ing thing!

It keeps saying it can not put the music on 'as it cannot be copied to this Ipad'

Well it was all on there before Apples update went and ****ed everything up....

Hmm... I just got my iPad 2 and I updated to 5.0.1 first thing before doing anything with it. Safari has worked perfectly for me. Only thing that's crashed sometimes is Hootsuite.

Only crashes of note that I have experienced since updating have been with the App Store and iTunes store crashing on the odd occasion. Otherwise, even older apps that have not been updated for iOS 5 have generally been pretty stable.

As for Safari, I find that it seems to render sites faster than before, without any of the chequered pattern that it used to show when a page had not fully loaded.

Any Tweetcastor users start having authentication errors, parsing errors after updating to 5.0.1?

edit: just managed to get past the authentication errors, but still getting the parsing errors. Since Tweetcastor is relatively popular, I figured errors like that must be related to the new 5.0.1 update.

My iPad, abit only in our possession since Thursday last week has worked flawlessly. I gave Safari a good hammering over the weekend and it didnt crash once.

Hmm, haven't had any problems with Safari on iOS 5. I get quite a few force-closes with the Settings app, though, which I never got prior to iOS 5.

This has been happening to me too. Update to 5.01 didn't make any difference. I have an original iPad, which version is yours?

My 32gb ipad2 has the same problem. Happens quite open when watching a video streaming from a website. Same movie runs flawlessly second time around

Apple are a pant! Never like Apple and never own any of it. They are rip off and expensive with their £1.58 fee charged if you buy any apps store as I saw it on other forums complaint of Apple charged customers £1.58 each apps out of their bank.

Excuse me?

You get charged what it says on the App Store for any given app. Apple do get something like a third of the price as their cut but there is no fee of £1.58 at all so I have no idea what you are talking about here. I'm not saying billing errors never occur but if they do they are just that. Errors. If you experience any such erroneous billing, by all means have a moan about it but to portray it as policy serves no purpose for anyone.
