Ipad and safari

Curious situation with the differing experiences of this.

Apps which occasionally crash: Tweetcastor. AppStore I recall crashed once.

On the other hand another Twitter client Echfon has never crashed. I would characterize Echofon as a very efficiently written and smooth running app. Tweetcastor (although a very nice app) I would say is more clunky and NOT entirely efficient and smooth running.

As for Safari crashing for some people but not for others, this may well be affected by what sites they are browsing.

Safari (on iPhone as well) was terribly unstable in the early iOS versions. It has improved a great deal over the years but I've noticed it crashing a lot more in iOS5.0.1 than before.

well, i have a n ipad 1, and a ip4.

ios 5.0.1 has imo slowed down text entry on my ip4 - to the point where its getting frustrating (may backup and restore).

As a result i havent put 5.0.1 on my ipad yet, just 5. And i have to say browsing intensive sites now is MUCH better, best example is the gif thread in GD. Used to be a PITA, now perfect. Not seen many crashes for safari, tho vevo app crashes a fair bit using airplay.
