iPad as 2nd Monitor :))

I've had my new iPad since release and love it, perfect for when I want a quick look at my emails and a few favourite websites.

And now I've found a reason to love it even more. Great little app called AirDisplay allows me to use my iPad as an additional monitor. Load the app on to your iPad and install the server software, then right click and select iPad

I remember trying this out like a year ago, I didn't find it laggy..

There will be plenty of reviews I imagine, have a look around. The App store ratings aren't great thats for sure!

I used to use it for livestreams and the quality wan't much below your native monitor.

For me it's worth £7, its good to be able to load up a few monitoring programmes on the iPad screen and then game on my main monitor and see what my system is doing.

I've not noticed any lag, but I'm not using anything that graphically intensive and I don't think the app is really designed with those in mind.

It's basically just a VNC app, so it can be quite laggy from what I've heard.

It can be used as a VNC style app, but you can also use it as an extended 2nd screen which is where I find it useful. The app isn't perfect by any counts, but being able to run some diag tools on it whilst you game is great. I've not had a problems with lag, but then I have a good wireless setup.
