Looking for a combo for an iPad which connects by Bluetooth out of the box i.e. it doesn’t need to go through a pc first. Partner bought a Bluetooth keyboard but it had to be returned because it had to connect to a pc to set up.

Magic keyboard? Just snap it on and it works.

I used my Keychron with the iPad once too, it works just fine. I think your partner is doing it wrong, user error, everything with bluetooth has a bluetooth pairing mode. Usually activated by holding down button or combination of buttons. Then you just go into the iPad Bluetooth setting and pair it there.

I have the Logitech K780 and it’s really good. Can pair it with multiple devices and hit a button to swap between them. Built in rest/holder on it also and good weight to it.

Well worth a look!

The keyboard was some cheap thing from TK Maxx. I followed the instructions and it said the keyboard needed to be connected to a computer first.

Thanks for the replies, I opted for the cheaper keyboard because it’s only for my daughter and will probably get abused anyway. K380 and M350 mouse.
