Just thought I would share my little discovery today, though it is not all that exciting and I expect many have already figured it out for themselves long ago (if they even care).
You know how the shutter/record button is right in the middle of the bottom of the screen, which is a bit of a stretch for many, especially in landscape mode? Simple solution: Hold it in portrait then put the rotation lock on before flipping it into landscape. The controls remain on their respective screen edges, but the device still registers its orientation when taking the pictures of videos. I suppose you could do it the other way around if you really wanted to.
I know the camera and its app are not great but the back one does passable video and I find myself using it quite a bit lately.
