Hi All. I was hoping you might be able to help me help my brother.
Got a call from my brother today. His lovely little girls have managed to enter the incorrect code on his iPad so many times it says iPad Disabled - Connect to iTunes on it.
He immediately calls me (as I have the role of the family IT guy) because I have an iPad and my work is related to IT. I of course explain I have never been that silly so have never seen this myself but tell him to plug it into iTunes. He says he can't as he doesn't have a pc and has never had to plug it into a pc before. So from some googling it seems I can get the iPad going again on my iTunes but it would wipe everything. My question which I have not been able to answer so far is can the iPad be unlocked without losing everything if it has not been connected to iTunes before?
He seems to think that he has iCloud back everything up. I am not so sure because the main thing he is worried about is an app he uses to do invoicing. Will the data from that be in the cloud?
Would an apple store be able to unlock it without wiping it?
Thanks for any advice.
Matt
