Does this look right?

As far as I can tell, the line out socket does not connect to the 30pin connector in any way??

Needless to say, when plugged in, it doesn't work.

It only needs 7 of the 30 pins, as you can see. Its multilayer PCB, so the tracks to the holes you can see running from the cables go right through with solder.

The 2 next to the striped cable must be left and right, and the striped red connector goes to the whole of the rest and must be the ground.

Check with a multimeter between the cable and the socket. This will ensure the trace is sound.

its is connected looking at the pcb...if u have a mulitmeter check for low ohms from the socket to the 2nd and 3rd wires from the right on the bottom right piccy...but looking at the top right pic....they dont seem to be going to the dock connector.....possibly why it isnt working......

just looked again and the actual dock connector is on the top left pic.....so dont know.....so you would have to follow it onto there
