ipad getting full/back up games?

I need to clear some space on my pad and most of it is games, some I might re-visit so don't want to delete the game save data.

Is there a way yet to remove games and back up your game save data?

As far as I know you can remove the game from your iPad but it will keep the save data on the iPad/iPhone. When you put it back on there you will be in the same place.

Only thing I can suggest would be to download a freebie game, do a level and delete it then put it back on and see to be 100% sure.

Pretty sure it asks you if you want to keep/remove game data when you delete.

Thanks I will test it on a game I'm not fussed about losing data on. It was only because I was doing a google search and came across stuff like this.....

Which suggested you couldn't back up save games etc?
