Hey, I'm looking at buying an iPad for light use generally, will use it for reading comics via Comixology, general net use and maybe some Hearthstone/Fire Emblem Heroes/Mario Run.

Is the iPad Mini 2 up to the task and likely to remain a decent performer for a few years? I noticed it's only a dual core and has been around for 2-3 years but seems to still be relevant and supported with iOS updates or should I bite the bullet, spend more and get the Mini 4 for the stated use above?

Mini 4 because it has 2GB of RAM, and will probably receive longer iOS support than the Mini 2.

Keep an eye on Apple refurb.

Mrs. Feek can't tell the difference between HD and SD channels on the telly. I bought her a Mimi 4 for Christmas and the first thing she said was "it's so sharp and clear". If she noticed it, it must be impressive.

The 4 definitely if they were the only choices.

However, the new ipad mini replacement (ipad mini 5?) is expected to be announced quite soon, so it might be worth waiting awhile, might be able to get the 4 cheaper after that's announced

4, the screen is how it should've been since the Mini 1.

(Sorry just realised i'ma bit late to the party).

Quick update since had a few more posts.
Went for the 4 picked it up at John Lewis a week ago, very happy with it, the screen is a delight and the battery life is actually pretty impressive. Far superior to Android tablets I've used.
Didn't fancy waiting for the rumoured newer Mini as I'm an impatient sort, also didn't cost me anything directly as sold off a load of trade paperbacks/comics to pay for the move to digital.
