iPad mini 3 wifi

hi I bought a new iPad mini 3 a few weeks ago and have noticed that every time i use the you tube app the wifi will drop off after a minute or so and then come straight back on causing the video to stop.

if i watch the same vid via safari browser on the iPad there are no issues. Have also noticed that it drops of on general use as well

I've done a network reset but still the same. has anyone got any ideas or experience of this.

Just tried a few other video apps and all drop off as well after a minute. Apps that fail are on demand to stuff but Netflix is fine. Very strange

Did you upgrade to iOS 8.1.1? That fixed the WiFi drop out for most.

All updates done. Just tried setting the channel to 6 manually rather than letting router select on auto. See how it goes. Seems to be playing YouTube vids better but will see
