iPad Mini, Nexus 7 2, or wait?

Invested in both Android and iOS. Paid apps on each. Have an iPad 3, but not happy with the size, so wanted a smaller tablet. Don't know whether to go for an iPad Mini - keeps me in the iOS ecosystem, and sell my iPad... or keep the iPad and get a Nexus 7 2. Or scrapping that, and waiting to see if the new Mini has a retina display.

Opinions?

It will be interesting to see what they squeeze into the new Mini. I would wait until that appears and make your decision then.

If nothing else, the 2012 Nexus and original Mini will drop in price!

Yea but what are the chances of the new iPad mini not being around twice the price of the Nexus 7 V2 and lower spec than it?

Yes it will cost more but hey it's an iPad and you get access to the best mobile eco system (I'm in both btw).

I originally had a iPad 4 which spec wise was superior to the mini but I sold it and bought the mini. It's not all about the specs ;)

I too am in the same boat. I'm waiting to see if the mini has a retina display. If so, I'll probably pick a mini up if the price isn't too much more than the nexus. It's bound to happen but hopefully it's not too much.
Still with apple because of the Eco system.

Check the screens. They are actually very different devices IMO, mainly down to the screen aspect ratio. The mini has a much bigger screen and due to the aspect ratio is better for web browsing and games, whereas if you watch a lot of films moreso than browse then perhaps nexus 7 may be a better bet.

I'd go for the Nexus 7 (2013) but then again if your already tied into the iOS ecosystem it might be better for you to wait for the new mini
