OK, odd one here (to me anyway)
Neighbour asked me to look at her mini, she dropped it and smashed the digitiser. No problem, order the bits, pull it apart and swap it out, easy enough.
BUT not it won't always charge. As in, i can leave it plugged in for an hour and it will show 6% battery. An hour later it will still show 6% battery. I swear at it for a while, come back 2 hours later and it's on 45% battery (all charging done with the device powered off)
Done a reset, backed up ,reinstall ios 7.1.2, restore files, still not charging right.
It took an age to do the backup/restore as the thing restarts at random too. Sometimes i get under two minutes (screen goes slightly dim for a fraction of a second, then blank then the boot up apple symbol pops up) other times i've had over two hours.
The battery rating never goes up if watched. When i watched two hours of video it showed 14% at the start and 14% at the end. I did a reset at the end of the video and it rebooted showing 100% battery. I left a long video running overnight and it went flat overnight and boots up showing 4%.
I still haven't managed to reinstall her apps as it won't stay running long enough for itunes to finish the sync.
Using the factory supplied charger and lead.
Any ideas? Is this a battery sync issue or some other sort of haunting?
Cheers.
