Pretty much ever since i got it, touchID never seems to work well on it - I've had it probably 3 years now...it's as if it totally forgets my prints and doesn't even register an attempt on the "touchid" settings page when I try it.

I have wiped my ipad, reset prints (which works for a small while). Should I assume it's just knackered?

Possibly get in contact with Apple and see if they can offer any type of solution?

If it’s been like it since new, you really should have dealt with it while it was still under warranty. The only time touchID never worked for me was when I had wet fingers.

You've left it too late, it'll cost to much to be worth while getting it repaired.

You got cuts, bumps etc on youre finger? Try adding a load of finger prints from the same finger and try that.
