guys quick question

we are looking at deploying a few test ipads at work for sales etc, main question on security is that can you clear cache etc to ensure no work data etc is retained on unit in case somebody loses device

if they have the wifi or wifi 3g version i would need to ensure that after browsing or stuff like that is done we can ensure all cache information is deleted , even if its a manual process or app ?, content is all web driven or logged in via web

just thinking before i need to explain pros and cons on monday ?

Hi Jase, where I work they create a certificate for the corporate Wi-Fi and it includes a certificate to allow Remote Wiping. Of course the device is still vunerable until its reported lost and the wipe command is triggered.

Got this from the Apple website -
"In the event of a lost or stolen iPhone, all data and settings can be cleared by issuing a remote wipe command from Exchange or a Mobile Device Management server."

cheers

my only thoughts are sales related ,margins on jobs etc

from a company POV this data cannot be open to breach for obvious reasons
