Well, it could be. Even a netbook with sufficient specs and a good SSD would probably be faster than an iPad, not to mention it could do much, much more.

i still dont see the point in it and maybe never will.

main reason i see people on here wanting one is for 'browsing infront of the tv' well ive always been able to do that fine on my phone or macbook
