ipad Screen replacement issue

I took my daughters ipad mini into Timpsons to have a cracked screen replaced.. well after 2 and a half weeks we finally got it back but now it has another issue

To me it seems like the home button is not connected properly, when you play games or anything it goes back to the home screen when touching the screen , if you touch it in certain places on the screen it acts as though you are double pressing the home button and goes into multitask mode

We took it back to Timpsons and after another 2 days they said that nothing was wrong with it, and it was for half an hour until we got it home and now it plays up again intermittently

Does anyone Know where we stand on this because apart from the screen crack the ipad was perfect also when it was returned they scratched all the edging (black ipad), its an engraved ipad too so its a personal to my daughter

Timpsons seem to not care about it but im not sure if i can do anything about that or even if apple will take it back and do the repair now as we have messed with it

The minis are a pain to do, they need to be perfectly adhered to the frame with no slight bend or pressure on the cables.

Either way, it's their fault and you shouldn't be expected to accept it.

Give the shop a ring and see what type of warranty they offer. Failing that, give the Customer Care department at the head office a call on 0161 946 6219

Thanks guys, there's a 12 month guarentee but I think it only covers the screen

It bothers me that they said it was working fine for them, yet the 2nd time it came back it was not as bad as the 1st time
