Hi

Bought myself an Ipad 2 over the weekend (black, 32gig, wifi) and have just got it all updated etc as it only had iOS 4 out of the box. Just browsing though the settings and in the contacts section there's a setting called "My Info". Can someone explain what this is for? It seems to have set itself to my sisters name for some reason. Do I need to add a new contact entry to myself to get whatever it is to show my own name?

Thanks

Just realised that this setting also exists on my iPhone 4. I haven't fit a clue why it's set to my sisters name though

create a contact for yourself and pick that, it automatically pics someone with the same surname as your apple ID, as for me it picked my sister as well

p.s in about a week you will wish you had a 3G one, if you take it out the house a lot. I bought a 32gb Wifi took it back after a week and pimped for the 3G, plus if you lose it, it has GPS

Lol. Won't be taking out the house since I have no need to. My iphone already serves that purpose. Doesn't the wifi have GPS too? I know mine finds it location fairly accurately and fast but then I have submitted my wifi AP to skyhook ages ago.

I don't see the need for the 3G iPad (for me anyway), I can use personal hotspot on my iPhone if I really need data on the go, 90% of the time I've got wifi access.

I see my iPad as a laptop replacement, I didn't have built in 3G on that so it's no big deal for me.

The wifi doesn't have GPS, although Skyhook does a great job of getting a rough location. I've got my iPhone for GPS duties! :)
