iPad Stock Levels

I'm looking to pick up the base level 2021 iPad and noticed that it seems to be out of stock everywhere. Do they come in stock fairly regularly or can I expect a long wait now to pick one up? Is it on the same level as the PS5/XBox stock fiasco?

If you order directly from Apple, it tells you the estimated delivery date.

Delivery free tomorrow only place I could find

Just ordered one direct from Apple as an X-mas present. Delivery 7th-14th Dec. Funny it seems just the base model - probably because of price. It is a bargain (in Apple terms).

I ordered an iPad for a christmas present due to the long delivery times, just over a week ago but Apple haven't taken the money yet, when do they usually take the funds?

In my experience, they take payment a couple of days before they ship.

The online U.K. Apple Store takes payment when your order ships.

Not on release, I got my iPhone 13 directly from Apple and they have a better returns policy.

Just checked Amazon, saying delivery by 21st December now for base model iPad!

I prefer Apple as the retailer and will pay more for that. Apple UK are then the retailer in case of any warranty quibbles downstream. FWIW: I have noticed Amazon CS being a lot less helpful in recent interactions with them - they used to be amazing. But not sure that I would want to tackle Amazon with some post warranty defect (or even anything outside the 30 day returns window).

I've been asked by a friend for help who's trying to hunt down an iPad Air for a Christmas present.

Stock levels appear to be non-existent no doubt due to supply chain problems. Does anyone know anywhere that has stock of a Sky Blue/Wifi/64GB Model?

The DfE had loads of base spec iPads on their school ordering website earlier in the week (they are given out free). Probably explains the poor UK stock levels of the base model.

bought one from Apple store at start on Nov received it 2 days ago
