iPad suddenly wont download apps

my iPad has just been updated to the latest software version and I now find that I can’t download or update any apps. I have plenty of storage space , have signed in and out and the net connnection is fine. I’m posting this from the iPad now. When I try to download I just get the spinning disc and nothing else happens, this is both in the App Store and “other” stores too yet I can do all other internet related things. The only thing I can think is that it is to do with the update?

Anyone got any ideas?

I didn't get one or I would have shared it! I had just searched online and posted here and not turned up anything so I factory reset the iPad which sorted it but isn't really a solution. I was just in a hurry!
