iPad timekiller apps suggestions QUICK!

I'm travelling to the states for work for the next 2 weeks which also includes the best part of 2 days in airports/on planes so I'm filling my ipad with things to kill the time...

I've got a bunch of films and tv shows but I wouldn't mind some apps.

Can anyone suggest any half decent games that aren't expensive and have some good longevity?

I don't need a network connection for that?

I should have mentioned that actually, whilst I'll have hotspots etc I can't guarantee on a connection and clearly I won't have one in the air!

Can play the computer on monopoly so don't need a connection.
