ipad touchscreen not working

hi, i have an ipad 4 and my daughter dropped it in the bath (she has been suitably strapped to a tree and whipped to within an inch of her life).

i put it in a bag of rice and dried it out. it works ok. the screen comes on but the touchscreen does not work now. so is it the digitizer that will need replacing and not the lcd. if so it's not too expensvie. cheers

If it's water damaged I wouldn't recommend relying on a bag of rice resolving all other component issues.

Get it replaced at an apple retail store, probably look about £250
