iPad Wifi Problem

Hey all,

Got a problem, and wondered if it has happened to anyone else.

Recently got an iPad, but every so often I am unable to access the Internet. To fix this, I turn the wifi off (through SBSettings normally as I recently jailbroke it) and straight back on again.

This seems to fix it.

But I don't know whether this is a fault with the iPad or the router?

I have a not-so"Superhub" from Virgin. We've had problems with my dads laptops and losing connection before. To fix that, we normally just turned the router on and off again and it seemed to be fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Marky

I had the same issued with my iphone4s and Superhub - this cures it...

WPA Auto
Channel: You may need to trial and error this depending on other users in your local area
802.11 = Up to 145mbps
802.11N = 2.4GHz

My iphone connects 100% now and never drops

Ah great thanks a lot! I'll give that a try :)

Edit: I've taken a look at the settings - it's already set to 2.4Ghz - didn't see anything about "145mbps" - and it was set to auto channel already. I'm trying the different channels now - hopefully it'll sort it...

I have one particular iPad at work that just drops - same access point, same software version, practically the same batch as the others but this particular one is just flaky. The WiFi icon just disappears and I have to disable, re-enable the connection.

Definitely explore possible issues, but don't rule out you might just have a duff iPad.

I'll certainly keep an eye on it! At the moment it's working well! I wasn't able to use the iPad in my bedroom last night, but it's working perfectly at the moment :)

Thanks a lot :)
