I have managed to drop my iPad with Retina Display, 16gb, black resulting in a cracked screen. I've only had it since December, bought from another website which I don't think I can mention on here as they would be a competitor

I'm just wondering what options I have that are out there, I believe it is not cheap repairing these things!

Thanks

Found a place that can repair the glass for £85

I just hope the LCD isn't damaged. I have been told 9 times out of 10 it is just the glass which gets damaged

Don't do this they use non-apple parts and it won't be the same again apple will give you a refurb ipad for like £189 or free if you send a fit female in for you

Some models have the LCD fused to the glass and digitiser so it comes as one complete unit. Just replaced the glass on my itouch and even though it's clearly a non apple part it all looks bloody good to me. Was well out of warranty though so nothing to lose.
