ipad2 - dictation work well?

my dad has parkinsons so his typing isnt that great any more.

he has retired and is wanting to write a book.

how useful would an ipad2 be in voice dictation? is it easy to use and reliable?

what apps are there to help him writing his opus?

its not that great on the PC as he has it.

isnt siri capable of dictation? i know its dragon based though

You need an iPhone 4s for siri.

Dictation into Pages on the iPhone 4S seems to work pretty well but I don't know if it leverages Siri or not and thus how well it'd work on the iPad2 - must give it a try sometime.

ah, so siri isnt on ipad2? i thought they patched it in...

maybe wait for ipad 3 for him then. arent they due soon?
