Brand new (refurbished with 12 month guarantee from Mazuma Mobile) iPhone 12 Pro Max. It was a Grade A+ phone and appears to be hardly used and immaculate.

Set it up and transferred everything from my old XR iPhone using Quick Start and it all went well. However when someone calls me I can hardly hear them through the ear speaker in the phone. If I put it on 'Speakerphone' the volume is still incredibly low. I have used the volume buttons on the side of the phone to turn it up to the max but it doesn't help. If I hook the phone up to my car using CarPlay, I can hear it fine on handsfree.

Is there something in the settings I need to tweak? It's like I need to use a setting somewhere to turn the volume up or something? Never had this issue with any previous iPhones so I'm stuck and don't know what the problem is or how to solve it. I suppose it could be a faulty ear speaker on the phone I guess, but wanted to check if there is anything I can tweak before I send it back.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
