Just noticed a small bubble under the screen of my iphone (bought about 4 months ago- got the receipt, from o2 shop). It has just randomly appeared- my phone has been treated very well so at a loss where this came from!

Now bearing in mind this was a known problem.... what's my chances of walking into o2 and getting my phone replaced? What happens now they don't make the 2g phones anymore- refurb/ repair?

If they will not do that, then am I within my rights to demand a refund?

Cheers all!

What I should add is that I was using the phone (unlocked using ziphone) until just this week. Now it's been restored and is 2.0 activated via itunes (so technically all kosher). So that won't cause any trouble will it?

I'm on a simplicity tariff so won't get upgrades- and doubt anyone will want to buy my iphone now this problem has appeared :o

So went into o2 shop today- they've told me to go to an apple store.... now will they actually help considering my receipt is from o2?? o2 also stated it wold take 3 weeks for them to get me a refurbished phone- does it really take this long? Do I have grounds to request a refund as this is a manufacturing fault?

I had to send my 1st gen iphone back for an RMA via CPW and they were pretty good, phone was proper broken, so apple sent back a brand new one! this was about 1 month ago.

The process took 2 weeks and I was told it would take 2 weeks.

O2 should be able to deal with an RMA, check there website as to the procedure.

My iPhone V1 had 1 dead pixel and apple replaced the whole phone.

Im also on o2 simplicity.

Just phone apple for a warranty repair ?
