My girlfriend's iPhone seems to have decided to pack it in. Either they're three unrelated issues, it's had a knock that caused all three, or a variation of both.
Aside from the mic and home button issues, when I plug it in to charge I get a message on screen saying something about the accessory not being compatible with iphone. I can only get it to charge if I discharge the battery first, and even then it charges very slowly and I get no indication that it's actually been charging until I turn it on and see that the bar has filled up a little.
I've tried power cycling it, cleaning the dock connector, giving it a wack, but it's made no difference.
She's getting an iPhone 3G next week so I'm happy to go to town on this one to try and get it working. I'm all open to suggestions on things to try.
