Yes. Unquestionably worth £100 more. The dillema you see people with here is whether to buy out of contracts etc. to get one. For a new user it's a no-brainer.
'Playing with' and 'using' are somewhat different. I think the new version is definitely worth the extra outlay. I used a colleagues 3G today having had the 3GS since launch and I was amazed at how much slower the 3G is in comparison. When going from the new one to the old one it's significantly noticeably different.
Is it really that much faster? I have been very impressed with my 3G. I'm not in contract with mine so changing wouldn't be a big problem and the idea of more memory sounds pleasing to me.

It's noticeable instantly everywhere for me. The 3G is like a slideshow even on the unlock screen the animation.
the 3gs only loads up pages a couple of seconds faster than the 3g and certain apps just slightly faster i dont think its worth the extra 100 pounds all these comments saying its so much faster is just incorrect
