Iphone 3g, 3g trouble

is there any settings i need to play with to get the 3g working on my iphone? i got it on payg today. the 3g logo is showing in the left top corner but all i seem to get when asking to check my email is "not registered to a cellular data network"

or something along those lines!

any idea why this isnt working?

Go into Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network. You should have the following:

APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk
Username: vertigo
password: password

There's a prob with mobile data ATM on o2 network! Check the Internet forums and you will we your not only one in that situation!
