Hey,

Got my payg iPhone 3g last week - it's brilliant :D.... Going away to Majorca in about 9 hours and i've got a few questions...

You get a manual/leaflet saying about "roaming data" - it's a bit confusing (the way theyve worded it).. should I turn it off/on? Don't want to get charged the earth if I accidently hit safari or something.

The maps/gps will come in very handy.. will it work over there? The GPS is an actual GPS right.. not just when your on 3g?

Can I use the google maps whilst over there or will it d.load them from a connection?

Oh and lastly, guess there'll be no free wifi spots over there? I'm not staying in an apartment :(

Any answers to the above q's would be appreciated.

Thanks :D

Turn data roaming off unless you want to be charged a fortune. Wi-fi will still work though and I wouldn't have thought it will be hard to find a free hot spot. Google maps doesn't store the maps on the iphone so needs some form of internet connection for it to work.
