Iphone 3g dim screen

Hi , i have recently bought a 3g with a cracked screen and was dim. i bought the phone and replaced the screen today, but its still dim.

You basically have to hold it to a light to see anything on screen.

Any one have any idea's ? :confused:

Honestly I don't know, I'm not sure if it's a relatively simple fix like the glass, someone around these parts should know though

Got it for £120 on auction site (***y)
with jus teh screen cracked and replaced it thinking it was it.

When you say screen, was it just the glass or glass and LCD that you replaced?
