iPhone 3G Dock Question

Hi.

With the iPhone 3G dock, can you have it plugged into the mains and linked up to a pc/mac at the same time or it either one or the other?

I know it probably charges while synced up but I'd like to have it plugged into the mains when I don't use the pc.

One or the other, but you can have it plugged in through a power USB hub which should charge it when the computer is off?

Do you have a Mac? Mine keeps the USB ports powered when it's in sleep mode so I use that to charge my iPhone overnight.

I've got a PC.

Wonder if theres USB splitter, female connector to two male plugs. Would that work?

Ummm. I wouldn't try that if I were you. If you had both on at the same time the likelihood is you'll put too much current through and damage your iPod and dock or even your computer.

I use a USB hub which is seperately powered. The power to the USB ports stays on at all times.
