iPhone 3G - Hide compilation artists yet?

Hi

Does anyone know if its possible yet to hide compilation artists from the artist list? its still a massive point of annoyance with me so i'd even consider jailbreaking if there was a solution?

any ideas?

i think whether it bother you or not depends on how many compilations you have... if you have a lot then the artists menu becomes absolutely massive and cluttered...

at the very least, do you not think it should be an option like it always used to be? my 5th gen ipod could do it fine
