iPhone 3G Jailbreak Question.

Hi,

Just a quick question, i bought an iPhone 3G a week after release it's a legit one on a £35 contract with O2. I upgraded the firmware from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1 via iTunes and all has been fine. Now my question is can i jailbreak my iphone 3G i used to have an iTouch which i jailbreaked and it was great. I am not fussed about unlocking as i say i have a legit O2 sim i am currently using, but i would not mind jailbreaking if possible. Anyone successfully done it, or have any links at all on how to do it would be much appreciated.

Yeah sure just download Pwnage Tool and create modded firmware file that you restore to the phone.

Is the advantage off jailbreaking your phone, so that you can use 3rd party apps for it?

I have a question about the iPhone. I'm about to get the new 3G one.

If its jailbroken and something goes wrong it can be restored back to a normal state which I could then take back to o2?

If I jailbreak it is there anyway that o2 or apple can see this. e.g. using third party applications like mxtube?
