Right,
I thought it was time for a 3G jailbreak thread as I cant find much info on the 3G on the interwebs, plenty of guides but no FAQ's for the 3G.
A guide and all the files required etc can be found here:
http://ipodtouched.net/?page_id=286
I just have a few questions that you clever lot may be able to answer.
1.When the guide says:
"Step 5: Select Install Cydia and YouTube activation fix (if you have a legit contract with your iPhone carrier (like AT&T)DO NOT SELECT the YouTube activation fix)"
Does that apply to O2 also? Therefore if you have a valid contract with O2 "DO NOT SELECT the YouTube activation fix"
ANSWER: Do Not select the YouTube Activation Fix!
2. If the process cocks up can you just restore you iPhone through iTunes?
3. Will I lose all my contacts? It would be the 3rd time I have had to type them all in
.
I know this may seem a bit over cautious but I really dont want to break my 3 week old phone and have to pay a £45 contract for another 17 months.
Thanks in advance.
