iPhone 3G not charging

I appreciate my 3G iPhone is getting on abit now and probably needs replacing. It has already been away for repair once with a dodgy bottom connector and was dropping calls.

I plugged it in to charge last night and it makes the usual sound and it shows the battery in the display but it does not actually charge.

I have insurance with NatWest bank. Will they replace or fix the phone? My concern is that it is on its last legs and something else is likely to go wrong soon.

Any ideas?

sounds like it would be the bottom connector again, or the battery itself =[
hoping my 4 won't be plagued with all these sort's of problems in a few months to come!

haha yea, is it phone insurance i take it? how much is their excess? seems like you'd be better off selling on the bay and upgrading (if funds allow of course!) :)

I thought phone insurance covered you for dropping it in a lake or getting mugged. Not stuff failing outside warranty...

Yes phone insurance. They cover for accidental damage which is good. Going to cost me 50 sheets though.
Are there still stocks of 8gb 3G iPhones?
