Iphone 3G or Iphone 3GS?

Which one should I go for?

I will probably answer my own question here but I do not really use my mobile for video recording, I use the camera for the odd photo and that's it.

I would use the internet on it a fair bit, and then just the normal calls and texts usage.

Is there any point getting the 3GS when the 3G would do what I need?

Being a bit of a gamer and a tad impatient. I would say go for 3GS as it makes graphical games smoother and is just far more responsive in general.

I wouldn't be playing games on it, I guess I would be using youtube and maybe some other apps as well as listening to music every once in a while.

Cheap as possible but good condition 3g from bay maybe 260-280 or new 3gs £440? I would go former.

Buying a new 3G? I would advise going for a 3gs.

What do people think the 3G and 3Gs will be worth in 12 and 24 months time.

Assuming good condition, boxed etc.

If you could swap from a 3g that's a month old to a 3gs brand new at a cost of £140 would you go for it?

Thats more to do with the compass than any new video hardware though isn't it?

No to get the video feed requires the later phone supposedly.

No it would be a PAYG one but putting my O2 contract sim into it.
