I've never actually found this out or been told, but does the iPhone 3G have WI-FI as well..?

Yes! Settings > WiFi (It's on by default)

Can I add another possibly stupid question to his? Does the iPhone have better battery lifetime than the iPod Touch? Because my iPod wouldn't last a day if the WiFi was left on all the time.
