iPhone 3G Update Destroyed My iPhone

Hello,

Just tried downloading and installing the iPhone update 2.1 and it didnt do anything. It stopped half way through and was waiting for about 2 hours before i decided to cancel it. This has now lost everything on my iPhone

as i have to revert it back to factory settings, but the restore is hanging on the "Restoring iPhone Software" Ive been waiting 3 hours now and its not looking good.

What should i do? The phone is 4 days old. Pretty peeved about this. Really dont like what Apple have done.

Take it back for a replacement? If it's only 4 days old you don't want to waste time faffing around trying to fix it yourself - I doubt you'll have any issues in getting a replacement.

I disagree with the "decent OS". Crashes a lot, unstable and overrated.

After much reading it seems a lot of people have had their iPhones destroyed by the latest update. I shall call Apple and give them a little verbal bashing. Complete idiots.

Four days old? Take it back and get it replaced, that's a no brainer really.

btw, when I got mine I did the upgrade before I put anything on it. Seemed logical to me. Activate, upgrade, load with tunes and apps.

Tried to update it via PC and worked. Very strange.
