Hi guys,

is the warranty worth it? I didnt take it when I bought my phone the other week as I was told I will be covered with my house insurance.

Now im thinking will my house insurance replace my handset if it were ever to go wrong or something happen to it quicker than O2 would with their warranty?

any suggestions as I still have can get it within the 28 days after buying the handset.

Thanks

The iPhone has a 12 Month warranty, you're meaning the Apple Care Cover?

I would not bother at all, since hardware/software faults will be covered by the Warranty and finally House Insurance for it being lost/stolen!

But that'll need listing individually on the House Insurance, so give them a ring!

it is the O2 Insure premier for £7.50 a month ontop of you monthly contract.

Will have to call my house insurance see what they say too.

Cheers chap

The insurance is a rip off....

£7.50 * 18 months = £135, which is less than the phone's cost. Assuming the theifs don't use it for international calls, premium rate, etc....

iPhones are £350 or £400 to buy without the contract depending on how many GB you get so well worth it if you think you're going to break it or anything. Remember you will be charged an excess fee though when you claim and that the insurance is not a contract (you can cancel it whenever)

iphone cover

I doubt most house insurance will stretch to a £300-400 piece of portable electronics, mine sure does not.

Like all insurance, cover for your Iphone is a gamble. Personally I like the peace of mind knowing that if I damage my phone it is going to be repaired/replaced, leaving me free to just enjoy using it.
