Both look like good phones. Personally i would go with the Samsung. While the android based phones don't have as many apps as the Iphone at the moment they will have in the future and won't be limited by restriction impossed by apple.

If you really can't decided then find out which will have the cheapest tariff and go with that one.

yer im just worried the touch screen on the samsung and google software wont be as good as apples offering nearly everything else is better as i dont really like itunes.

I think you'll win either way. I hate itunes as well. It managed to screw up all the music on the phone yesterday - annoying just before I was due to go to the gym.

from playing with android on other phones so far I like it more than iphone OS, I've heard one bad comment on the screen of the galaxy and all the rest have been glowing reviews

The screen is supposed to be one of the big selling points, what with it being AMOLED i.e brighter and less of a power drain.
