Hi Guys

Had my iphone 4 since release day and I’ve noticed that from yesterday the battery must be on its way out. For example fully charged this morning at 7:30 it is now down to 65% with very moderate use which is not normal. Is there any way to go about replacing the battery, i see there are replacements available on ebay?.

Cheers

Sam

The battery is very easy to change - You could do it yourself by following this guide :)

I tinkered with the inside of my iPhone 4 when I had it, and replacing the battery would be pretty easy to do :) Just need to buy the right battery and the right tools :)

Thanks

Marky do you recommend any particular battery, i don’t have much confidence within the cheap ebay battery’s. Wonder if i can get a proper apple one.

You can buy one straight from iFixIt here, but that'll probably be coming from the US, and so you'll be waiting a while :(

Parts are usually quite easy to find on eBay. I found one that comes with tools as well for only £4.49! Not sure if there are any non-legit ones knocking about - I bought a new speaker for my iPhone 4 from eBay no problem though... At such a cheap price, I would just go for it and see how it goes :p
