iPhone 4 bluetooth

Hi there

Can anyone please tell me how to get my iPhone 4 and iPad Bluetooth to work. Bloody had enough, all it does when I turn it on is say searching, now discoverable, and nothing blooming happens!!! Searched all over the net and can't find any solution.

Trying to use it with my car, but it wont do anything at all just searching, won't even pick up any devices, not even my iPad 2 or gfs iPod.
